Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship 2022

The Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship allows some eligible veterans and dependents to extend their Post-9/11 GI Bill or Fry Scholarship benefits in high-demand fields. Read on to learn if you qualify for up to 9 months (or $30,000) of additional benefits and how to apply.

Is the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship available to me?

To be eligible, you must meet all of the requirements listed here for your situation.

If you are currently enrolled in a STEM bachelor’s degree program or a dual degree program that qualifies, you must meet the following requirements:

You are enrolled in a qualifying undergraduate STEM degree program that requires at least 120 standard semester credit hours (or 180 quarter credit hours) to complete. You have completed at least 60 standard semester credit hours (or 90 quarter credit hours) toward your degree, and you have 6 months or less of your Post-9/11 GI Bill (or Fry Scholarship) benefits remaining. Check your Post-9/11 GI Bill Statement of Benefits to see how much of your benefits remain.

At this time, the STEM scholarship cannot be used for graduate degree programs.

If you are a health care professional enrolled in a covered clinical training program,

All of the following must be true:

You have a qualifying degree in a STEM field, have been accepted or are enrolled in a covered clinical training program for health care professionals, and have 6 months or less of Post-9/11 GI Bill (or Fry Scholarship) benefits remaining. Scholarship Prioritization

Even if you meet these requirements, we can’t promise that you’ll get the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM scholarship.

Priority is given to veterans and Fry Scholars who:

  • Are eligible for the full Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit (100%) and require the most credit hours when compared to other applicants.

Which degree programs are eligible for this scholarship?

This scholarship is available for undergraduate degree programs in the following areas:

  • Agriculture science or natural resources science
  • Biomedical science or biological science?
  • Computer science and information technology, as well as related support services
  • Engineering, engineering technologies, or an engineering-related field
  • Healthcare or a field related to healthcare
  • Statistics or mathematics?
  • Residency in medicine (undergraduate only)
  • Matter science
  • Science technologies or technicians
