African MasterCard Foundation Scholarships 2022 at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. The Mastercard Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Cape Town (UCT), invites Africans interested in pursuing a degree program at UCT to apply.

These scholarships cover the whole academic year and are renewed annually based on good performance and participation in the program’s activities and opportunities. Successful candidates must pledge to return to their home countries and invest their newly acquired talents and education in their country’s social and economic development.

To be considered for the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academically gifted students must value school and be motivated to complete it.

Those who are economically poor face major financial obstacles to obtaining an education.

Once their studies are done, they are committed to returning to their home countries and taking a leadership role in promoting social and economic progress.

Citizens and residents of a country in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Do you want to pursue a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree? (Masters by research and coursework or research Masters, only). Applicants for honors will be considered beginning in 2016.

Countries in Sub-Saharan Africa are eligible.

Postgraduate type

Commerce, Engineering and Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, or Sciences are all eligible fields of study.

Application Process: Applicants must first apply to UCT for academic study and placement before applying to The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. A Mastercard Foundation scholarship is only available to individuals who have applied for academic study and placement at UCT.
