IELTS Registration – How To register Online Or In Person

Registration for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)- The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standardized international test of English language proficiency for non-native English speakers. It was established in 1989 and is managed collaboratively by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English.

Applications for IELTS can be submitted either online or in person. Both instructions are provided below. To apply for Computer-Delivered IELTS, go here.

IELTS Registration- How to Apply?

In order for your application to be considered complete, the IELTS office must receive the following items for all modes of registration:

Step 1:

application form completed (with details of Receiving Organizations if applicable)

Step 2:

Payment of the examination fee (N83,000.00). The payment options are listed below.)

Step 3:

Send an application confirmation auto-email, a copy of an acceptable ID, and proof of payment to payment@ielts.ng.
Applications that are incomplete will be held for a maximum of 48 hours. If registration is not completed within this time frame, the applicant must begin a new application.

Online Application Procedures
  • Please follow these steps to apply online:

Fill out the IELTS Online Registration Platform application form online. A clear scan of your international passport would be required.

  • Pay in cash or by online transfer to

OR

  • Payment can also be made at our office via POS.

Send payment proof to payment@ielts.ng (please note to indicate the NAME OF APPLICANT for which payment is being made, in the email)
You will receive a confirmation e-mail. Applicants should plan on 48 hours for processing and confirmation.

In-Person Application Procedures
  • Complete the following steps to register:

Download the IELTS Application Form, fill it out, and bring it to our Lagos office at 3, Ade Ajayi Street, Off Zone A4, Pako, Ogudu GRA.

Note:
  • For registration, please bring your international passport or national ID card.
  • The payment options listed above in the online application section apply here as well.
  • Payment can also be made at our office via POS.
Biometric Registration Is Required

IELTS has implemented security procedures that necessitate the registration of all candidates’ fingerprints and photographs. This will take place at our offices on the first test day, in the morning.

Registration after the deadline

Late registration is one that is requested after the online application portal has closed or within 8 days of the test date (where the online application portal remains open).

Please contact the Test Center at info@ielts.ng or 09023201067 to inquire about free late registration. However, late registration is subject to availability and receipt of the full test fee. If late registration is not possible, the applicant will receive a bank draft for the full test fee 5 working days after the test date.

Please keep in mind that, due to the peculiarities of late registrations, preference for a speaking appointment will not be considered; speaking test appointments will be based on availability and MAY be advised on very short notice.
