Scholarships for International Freshmen in the United States:  A solid education is critical to one’s long-term prosperity. In recognition of the importance of the study, Utah Tech University offers International Freshmen Merit Scholarships.

The International Freshmen Merit Scholarship is a merit-based tuition waiver for new F-1 undergraduate international students who are accepted directly into a university bachelor’s degree program.

Eligibility

Countries that qualify: Applications from all over the world are accepted.

Courses or subjects that are eligible: The scholarship will be given in any of the university’s subjects.

Criteria for Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:

All new F-1 undergraduate overseas students seeking a degree who apply to Utah Tech University will be considered.

Application Instructions: Applicants must apply to the university for admission to the degree program.

Documents to Support: A degree certificate and a copy of the student’s passport are required.

Students must have a 3.0 GPA or equivalent, an ACT score of 26+, or an SAT score of 1240+ to be admitted.

Applicants must meet the following language requirements:

A TOEFL score of 68+ is desirable (reading: 22+ and writing: 24+).

IELTS score of 6.0+ (reading 6.0+, writing 6.0+) overall

A Duolingo overall score of 95 or higher

17+ on the ACT in English.

A 24+ SAT Writing/Language score is required.

The CPT/Accuplacer is a college placement test. Sentence Skills scores of 76 or higher

Benefits

The scholarship covers tuition only and is worth $4,500 for the first academic year; $2,250 for the first fall semester; and $2,250 for the first spring semester of attendance.
